The Bureau of Public Safety of the Ministry of Justice is currently conducting a Search and Rescue efforts and requesting for the public assistance in providing information on the whereabouts of the following:    Mr. Leonard  “ Onord” Mikel.  Mr. Mikel had planned on going spear fishing, and had asked his wife to drop him off at the Short Island (PC), Malakal on Sunday, 21 January 2018 @ 12 noon.

A missing persons report was filed at the Bureau of Public Safety by his wife at 7:40 pm on the same day. Mr. Leonard “Onord” Mikel was last seen wearing a green jersey with print and wearing blue shorts w gray stripes on the side.  Mr. Mikel is 50 yrs old; 5’ 4”; 180 lbs; short black hair and a mustache.

Anyone who has information and knowledge of the Mr. Mikel’s whereabouts is urgently requested to contact the Bureau of Public Safety at 488-1422/5000 or 911.

The President declared January 11, 2018 as National Day of Prayer for the Republic of Palau on which the people of the Republic of Palau may honor and entreat Almighty God through prayer in groups or as individuals and further call on the people of the Republic of Palau to join our National Day of Prayer gathering at the National Capitol in Melekeok.
