As written by SFC (Ret) David C. Holtslander:

I am a member of the U.S. military retired reserve.

I served my country for 21 years and this is the thanks I get.

A sample United States visa.

I live in Palau and have a residence card from the Republic of Palau. My Wife and I both need operations.

My wife needs a tube implanted in her ear so she can hear.

I need to have one or both of my knees replaced and I am 100% service connected combat veteran.

We are trying to go to TAMC in Hi, but to do that my wife needs a visa.

I was told by the Ambassader and the CDA that because I was a Resident that getting a NIV Visa would not be a problem.

So on the 8th of May, local time, my wife went for her interview.

Visa Denied.

Why? They are afraid that my wife might try to become an immigrant.

In the U.S. we have between 11 to 12 million undocumented immigrants.

We are trying to do things the right way and get treated like criminals.

My wife needs this operation. I need my operation. I am 70 years old and I need it before it’s to late, but I will not leave my family here for six months while I’m in the hospital because I cannot afford to support 2 households
