Palau Community College Tourism & Hospitality Program proudly welcomes Mr. William “Bill” Hetherington from Australia Pacific Technical College (APTC) to Palau for a pilot training course to be offered here in Palau starting in mid-April 2014.
Mr. Hetherington is a certified trainer/instructor, arrived Sunday, March 23, 2014. He will be delivering a 20-week Certificate III Course in Hospitality-Lodge Stream at the Palau Tourism & Hospitality School of Excellence. This course is designed to offer students the opportunity to further their skills and experience in the hospitality industry and obtain an Australian qualification. Mr. Hetherington will have the opportunity to train students in three functional areas including Food & Beverage service, Cookery (Cooking), and Housekeeping.
Applications may be picked up at Palau Community College Continuing Education (CE) Office. Short listed applications will be asked to complete a short placement test and interview. Qualified applicants may receive scholarships to pursue this training opportunity through AusAID.
