Position Title : Customer Service Representative
Position Classification: Full-time
Salary Range : PL 1 – Grade 1: $6,500-8,500 annually (based on qualifications & work experiences)
Benefits: Commensurate Pay with Government required coverage: Pension Plan & Social Security

Qualifications:

*Must be a High School graduate with some post secondary education/training in Public Relations.
*At least 3 years of customer service experience.
*Knowledgeable and skillful in servicing and communicating with customers and employees.
*Ability to write, read, and speak Palauan and English fluently.
*Must be computer literate: able to learn new programs, operating other office equipment.
*Ability to tactfully handle irate customers while maintaining self control.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

*Answers the phone tactfully in addressing customer requests and forwarding calls to the appropriate person to address the request.
*Understand the request of each walk-in and call-in customer and provide proper guidance to meet their needs and requirements to maximize customer satisfaction in a manner consistent with PVA missions and goals. Evaluate to what extent customers are satisfies with CS services and what PVA offers.
*Issue reports and analysis of daily/weekly/monthly/ PVA operation. e/g/, track daily number of walk-in visitors, calculate ad value from newspaper clippings. monitor number and context of comments on social media sites as reputation management. Reports need to be submitted on a bi-weekly basis and receive feedback from managing Directors and Operations Managers as needed.
*Ensures customers and staff of OVA receive notices/information needed in a timely manner. File and record customer complaints, comments/suggestions, views and concerns and report to the appropriate supervisor/manager for consideration.
*Learn and understand the tourism market trends of Palau including BTA and CoC activities to better address customer inquiries. Must be able to identify opportunities and possible concerns and report recommendations to appropriate supervisor/manager.
*Coordinate the operation of Administration Department responsibilities including those involving general administrative support (maintaining a central office filing system, collection of time sheets and related documents based on established deadlines: assist toward timely time sheet processing and distribution.
*Undertakes all other duties as assigned and performs any other tasks as assigned by Managing Director and Operations Manager.
