Singers Mr. Kendall “Langkach” Titiml and Kelau Remeliik, two of the performers for PICRC’s 17th Anniversary Dinner Gala
That time of the year is here again! PICRC’s biggest and most prestigious event of the year – their annual Anniversary Fundraising Dinner Gala, will be held next Thursday, January 18th. While the event is intended to raise funds to support research and conservation work in Palau, it also aims to be a fun and memorable event. As Dr. Yimnang Golbuu, PICRC’s Chief Executive Officer, expressed, “We want people to come and enjoy themselves, have a good time and know that they are supporting a good cause.” Dr. Golbuu continued, “While almost everyone has been fixated on the holiday season these past couple of months, we, at PICRC, have been focusing our attention to planning and preparation for this upcoming event.”
To ensure a fun-filled evening, guests will be entertained by two of the most sought-after singers, Ms. Kelau Remeliik and Mr. Kendall Titiml. A buffet spread of local and international favorites will be prepared by Elilai Restaurant under the culinary skills of American Celebrity Chef, Roy Handler. To make the evening even more memorable, PICRC has also secured a photographer to take individual and/or group portraits between 6pm-8pm, with a backdrop designed specifically for this 17th Anniversary Gala. These portraits will be printed, framed and ready for distribution before the end of the event.
Speaker Sabino Anastacio and the House of Delegates will be hosting this year’s event in support of PICRC. “The work PICRC does on behalf of the Republic of Palau is of the utmost importance to the health and welfare of our people and our environment”, stated speaker Anastacio when he announced that the House of Delegates will co-host the event.
The fundraising dinner this year will be held at the Ngarachamayong Cultural Center and will be broadcasted live by Palau Wave Radio.
